The Rocketry Program consists of three projects: Tartarus, Elysium, and ARC. Tartarus is hard at work building UAH's first student-built liquid rocket engine, Prometheus. Elysium is SHC's first successful competition rocketry team, competing each year in IREC and placing 54th overall out of 141 colleges and universities from around the world in 2026. Finally, ARC is the amateur rocketry certification portion of the program, allowing students with little to no knowledge of rocketry to get their certification under the guidance of more experienced students.
