Solar Heliotrope Auto Rising Contraption - Balloons with the Power of
the Sun
One of the only projects in the entire Southeast of the US working
on Heliotrope HABs (High Altitude Balloons), SHARC is the project
focused on engineering balloons and payloads that can fly better,
higher, and carry more from solar thermal energy. We focus on
materials research and construction for Heliotrope balloon types,
engineer payloads for scientific missions and data collection, and
actively plan to work towards making Heliotrope flights more common
for HAB flights through flight prediction software and launch
logistics.
