Project Lead - Jack Redden
Elysium has a mission to advance student research at UAH using experimental sounding rockets that go 10,000, 30,000, or 45,000 feet into the sky! We want our members to learn about the full design, simulation and testing of these high power rockets.
We hope to participate yearly in the International Rocketry Engineering Challenge, hosted by the Experimental Sounding Rocket Association
We teach our members how to use tools such as FEA, CFD, and many other mechanical and electrical analysis tools
We work with composites of many different types on a very regular basis
We teach our members how to rapidly design and prototype rockets and their components around specific criteria
