Tartarus

Tartarus is the Space Hardware Club's bipropellant liquid rocket engine development and testing project. Their mission is to provide an outlet for students to learn and practice industry standard design, engineering, integration and testing relating to liquid rocket propulsion. Since 2022, they have been hard at work designing and manufacturing custom a rocket engine, fluid system, and control and instrumentation system. All of this work has culminated into the team's final product: Prometheus.

Prometheus will be the team's first functioning rocket engine. Rated to 280 pounds of thrust, this engine will be the test bed that will verify the team's design models used to create more powerful and complicated engines.
